Dr. Carol Garrett

Dr.  Garrett is a case worker, child protective services, with Monroe County.  She is also a pastor at the Historic Parsells Church in the Beechwood neighborhood of Rochester.  She has had a 17-year career in social services with the county.  Prior to that she spent 15 years in bond underwriting, taxes and financial services.  She has taught courses at RIT and Corinthian College.  Her many interests are highlighted in the list of achievements shown below.

In her civic activities, Dr. Garrett has served as President of the Portland Avenue Neighborhood

Association, and on the Executive Board of the American Baptist Churches of Rochester/Genesee

Region.   She has also served in the Successful Pathways Mentoring Program to young women and

on the Crozer Advisory Board of Women and Gender Studies.

 

Dr. Garrett received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from St. John Fisher

College, and both a Masters degree and Doctoral Degree from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity

School.
