Reopening Plan

Hybrid Model

School buildings must be safe places in order for students to learn effectively. Having healthy students and staff is not only critical to the education children receive but also to the teachers and staff who deliver that high quality education. A healthy and safe return to school will include Vertus aligning its protocols with the guidance from the state, federal, and local levels. As such, we have devised a hybrid model for reopening for the 2020-21 school year; maximizing in-person instruction while safeguarding student and staff health. The model includes a focus on social-emotional and mental health supports with time built-in on Fridays to allow for deep cleaning and sanitizing.

1st & 4th years

In-Person instruction for two days Monday and Tuesday

Remote instruction for three days Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Students will be separated into teams.

This includes the following teams:

1st Years: Allport, Cason, Nickson, Snead

4th Years: Banks, Fogle, Payne

2nd & 3rd Years

In-Person instruction for two days Wednesday and Thursday

Remote instruction for three days Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

Special Education and ELL Students
