Dr. Gantt is Chief Diversity Officer at Monroe Community College. He has had a 25-year career in higher education, starting at MCC, then a long career at SUNY Geneseo and almost 4 years at Binghamton University before returning to MCC.
As a servant leader, I believe that trusting relationships are the foundation for collaboration and service. My core values are integrity, humility, family, commitment, friendship, fairness, and spirituality. I am committed to improving the quality of life for all stakeholders or members of my community – regardless of socioeconomic status. I am passionate about student leadership and development, and I am a strong advocate for mentoring both faculty and professional staff members. I am a team player; goal-oriented, and comfortable with all aspect of public speaking. I am committed to helping all students recognize their full potential. I am passionate about nurturing the development of first-generation, low-income and underrepresented minority students.
