Cash Gifts
Cash gifts are the simplest and most immediate way to support Vertus. Donations can be made online, by check, or through employer matching gift programs.

Gifts of Appreciated Assets
Donating appreciated securities, stocks, or mutual funds may provide significant tax advantages while making a meaningful impact for Vertus students.
Benefits may include:
- Avoiding capital gains taxes
- Receiving a charitable income tax deduction
- Maximizing the value of your gift

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
Vertus Charter High School is a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and can accept grants from Donor Advised Funds.
DAF giving allows donors to:
- Recommend grants to Vertus over time
- Simplify charitable giving
- Create a lasting philanthropic plan
Please consult your financial advisor or sponsoring organization for details.
Gifts from Traditional IRAs
Individuals age 70½ or older may choose to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from a Traditional IRA to Vertus.
Potential benefits may include:
- Satisfying Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs)
- Reducing taxable income
- Supporting students in a tax-efficient manner

Bequests & Legacy Giving
A planned gift through your will or estate plan can help ensure the future strength of Vertus for generations to come.
You may include Vertus by:
- Naming Vertus in your will or trust
- Designating Vertus as a beneficiary of retirement assets
- Leaving a percentage or specific amount to the school

Gifts of Life Insurance
A life insurance policy can become a meaningful charitable gift by:
